The Fitness Warehouse have a wide range of Rubber Home Gym Flooring
Commercial Gym Flooring
These rubber gym floor mats are hugely popular for people setting up home gyms and need gym flooring. These are impact resistant and will help protect the floor underneath from heavyweights, and dropping. Free weights areas generally require thicker rubber gym floor mats to protect the concrete or wood subfloor from dropping weights. For this purpose, we have our 30mm and 40mm rubber gym floor mats & tiles. Both thicknesses of tile are easy to fit, locking together with dowels on the side of each tile, so they do not require floor adhesive. As standard they are available with a grey/white colour fleck, however, the premium rubber gym flooring mats are available in more colours. The main difference between the standard tiles and premium tiles is the surface layer. On the standard tiles, the granules of rubber on the surface are larger making them more porous. The Premium gym flooring has a very fine grain rubber surface layer which is more abrasion resistant and easier to clean than the standard tiles. The rubber gym floor mats come in different sizes as shown on the product listing. We have square 0.5mx0.5m gym tiles and 1mx1m tiles, and rectangular 1mx0.5m tiles.
For home use, many people choose the 16mm interlocking gym floor mats because they are simple to fit and cost-effective. Whilst they do not offer the same level of protection that the thicker gym tiles provide, they are hard wearing and suitable for home free weights areas where the weights are not being dropped from a height. The 16mm interlocking gym tiles have a textured surface to provide some level of slip resistance.
Functional and General Gym Flooring
In both general and functional gym areas where heavyweights are not being dropped but some floor protection is still required, we recommend either our 15mm thick rubber floor tiles or the 10mm rubber floor rolls. The 15mm tiles are easier to fit, but both floor types require a floor adhesive to prevent them from moving. Before fitting either of these floors please ensure that your subfloor is level. For the best results, we recommend covering wood floors with plywood and having concrete floors leveled with a screed or latex leveler, prior to fitting the rubber floor.
Both the 15mm and 10mm rubber gym mats are available in a variety of colour EPDM flecks. We can also provide bespoke floor markings for functional areas at an additional cost (POA).
