Pendle Leisure Centre, part of Pendle Leisure Trust has been completely refurbished ready for a healthy 2017! New flooring and wall art have been fitted, alongside top of the range Gym Gear performance series cardio, strength and functional training equipment.
The Centre was under pressure to modernise with new gyms opening in the local area. Working with key members at Pendle Leisure Trust we devised a plan together to improve the leisure centre gym so it would attract new members without sacrificing existing memberships. It was a fine line between keeping elements of a traditional gym, whilst introducing more modern and popular trends like functional training and strength and conditioning. Pendle Leisure Centre now has something for everyone, and a few unique machines which are sure to generate a lot of interest.
“We invited Fitness Warehouse to Pendle Leisure Centre to look at injecting some new life into the club to help us grow our membership under increasing competition in the local area. We had heard very positive reviews on the Gym Gear equipment and their reputation for providing excellent service. After spending some time in our centre they went away and devised a plan to completely transform the gym and bring it in line with current fitness trends and technology.
The level of communication to explain their recommendations, along with 3d gym designs, made it easy for us to visualise the end result. We now have the most technologically advanced Gym Gear cardio machines, and a few unique machines like the Jacobs Ladder and Tornado bikes which have gone down a storm with members. Fitness Warehouse put our logo on nearly all the equipment, which adds a really nice finishing touch. I now feel through the many positive comments and my own personal experience that our gym is the best in our local area.”

At Fitness Warehouse we are delighted to have been involved with the new installation at Kinetik Health and Wellness. Kinetik is a new high-end gym based in Nottingham City Centre with an emphasis on providing a very personalised service to help members reach their goals. Situated in the Lace Market area it is perfectly located to service the local businesses in the city centre.
The main gym is split into 3 areas: cardio, functional and strength. The cardio area has state of the art Gym Gear performance series treadmills, cross trainers and bikes with full multimedia capabilities and entertainment functionality to help motivate and engage with members. There are also a few unique pieces of equipment including the Jacobs Ladder and Tornado Bike, to give members much greater variety in their workouts, and to really challenge themselves.
The functional area is arranged around the Spartan Rig centre piece, with kettlebells, medicine balls, suspension trainers, slam balls and much, much more. Spartan Rig classes are held daily and provide a fun way to improve fitness levels for all abilities.
The strength area has all the main Gym Gear Elite Series strength machines for upper body and legs, with customised Kinetik branding on all the seat pads. Around the corner fans of free weights can find dumbbells, benches, and a Sterling Series half rack with lifting platform and high impact bumper plates.
At the far side of the gym is a huge studio, equipped with GymGear M Sport Pro Spin bikes, studio barbells sets, steps boxes, prowler sled and sled track. A wide variety of exercise classes are available to members.
We were able to create the perfect layout plan using our 2D layout software for Nottingham Trent University. This ensured that all the required equipment could be incorporated into the design to meet the needs of both the students, staff and also the local community.
The feedback from the University has been very positive.
Salford Sports Village
Fitness Warehouse were invited to put forward recommendations for replacing all of the cardio machines at each of Salford’s 8 Leisure Centres. It was important to introduce new technology which will improve the overall member experience and facilitate communication with members.
The new Gym Gear 98e Performance Series cardio with the latest fitness technology was chosen. Salford Sports Village is the first of the 8 sites to have a re-fit over the next 18 months. Members can now enjoy virtual programs and fitness apps alongside audio-visual functionality.

“We’re really excited at the prospect of working with David and his team at Fitness Warehouse. Over the next few years we are planning to refresh all the CV equipment across our centres and the SSV is the first in line. The equipment looks fantastic and already we have received some great feedback from our members.”
